The brief
With its Aqueduct product, ChargeX offers a modular charging infrastructure solution for car parks and multi-storey car parks with multiple charge points. The ChargeX team set us a challenge that went beyond a website overhaul: we also needed to build a web-based product configurator, manageable by their own team, that would explain Aqueduct step by step while calculating pricing in real time. The goal was for every stakeholder to understand the product with ease. With a hard deadline set by the IAA — held in Munich for the first time — it was full steam ahead.
The solution
Development kicked off with the configurator and the WordPress website running in parallel, with both teams working side by side to finish each element on time and then bring them together. For the configurator, the priority was shaping the various benefits into a storyline that mirrors the real process of implementing Aqueduct — naturally without a tech-giant budget, since this was a start-up. Last but not least, the whole design needed to work seamlessly on mobile. We wish the team continued energy!
