flame gets fit for the year-end sprint

Dear clients, partners and friends,

The past few months have probably been challenging for all of you, marking a real turning point in your everyday life. Something – or a great deal – has changed for every one of us, and the effects of the pandemic are far from over.

We ourselves had to adapt to the new situation very quickly too.

With a lot of energy and creativity, we supported our clients at short notice with digital and virtual communication tools, just to keep them able to do business at all. We developed new digital business strategies to offer future-proof concepts and easy-to-implement measures. And in several social hackathons – including Mia geh'n online – we put our skills to work helping local retailers and hospitality businesses get through those first difficult weeks and set themselves up for the future.

What this time has taught me, above all, is how important it is to spot and understand trends.

It's shown how much courage it takes to radically let go of the old, in order to find new ways forward. And it's shown how important it is to lead your team through difficult times with confidence and a clear vision.

In September, we'll be pushing ahead with our plans for 2021, and along the way we'll be presenting some new flame offerings around digitalisation and virtualisation. Among other things, we're working on further developing augmented reality (AR) in communication, and together with the KMUtmacher network, we'll be offering targeted advisory support to mid-sized businesses on developing digital business models. So stay tuned.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my brilliant team, who have achieved incredible things and always stay open to discovering something new together – I'm so proud to have you at flame! And, of course, I want to thank all of you warmly for staying loyal to us and continuing to place your trust in us. We'll do everything we can to keep advising and supporting you as best we possibly can.

I wish you all a lovely summer and a restful holiday season now, and I'm looking forward to tackling the next challenges together in the autumn.

Warmest regards,

Yours,

Petra Dahm
